Title: Sr Tax Accountant

Description: This is an exciting new opportunity for you to be
exposed to the corporate tax world or to expand your past industry
experience. For nearly 30 years Itron has provided solutions to
electric, gas and water utilities worldwide to enable them to optimize
the delivery and use of energy and water. On April 18, 2007 we expanded
our global business with the acquisition of Actaris Metering Systems. We
now have more than 8,000 utility customers, 33 manufacturing facilities,
customers in more than 60 countries and more than 8,500 employees. This
position will help us continue our past success.
This Senior Tax Accountant position will report to the Manager, Income
Tax Accounting, and will be responsible for preparation of the
world-wide tax provision. You will apply your past experience with FAS
109 to an exciting new 'global' company. Your duties will include:
- Preparation of the consolidated income tax provision;
2. Research issues related to the income tax accounting for federal,
state and international taxes;
3. SOX related compliance;
4. Accounting for stock based compensation under FAS 123(R);
5. Review and update of uncertain tax positions pursuant to FIN 48;
6. Other income tax accounting duties.

Qualifications: 1. Four-year degree in tax/accounting or related
field, or equivalent combination of education and experience;
2. Advanced tax degree and/or CPA preferred;
3. At least 2 years of progressively responsible corporate tax
experience including the application of FAS 109;
4. Intermediate-level proficiency with Outlook, Word and Excel.
5. Working knowledge of Oracle and Tax Stream preferred.
6. Must possess analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills;
7. Ability to learn quickly with limited supervision and document
decisions.
