Once per trimester, GGU offers a Faculty Academy where a small group of full and part-time professors get together to do work with a specific theme.
The academy's primary goal is to provide development for our faculty; another goal is to promote collegiality while reinforcing the notion that we can all teach and learn from one another.
The spring 2009 Faculty Academy focused on Student Assessment. The summer 2009 Academy theme is online teaching.
The fall 2009 academy, "The Challenge of Groupwork," is scheduled for Saturday, November 14 from 9:30 until 2:00 in San Francisco. Interested in attending? Just let your department chairperson or program director know.
