10/31/05 - GGU Mock Trial Team Wins San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association Competition

This past weekend the mock Trial team won the Championship of the 2005 San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association trial competition. On the road to victory the GGU team defeated teams from Hastings and USF law schools. This was the third time in the six years of the SFTLA competition that GGU has been crowned "Best of the Bay" in the field of litigation.

The members of the winning team are Sean Kensinger, Tim Galstan, Kimberly Cazinha and Emily Cole. They were supported in their training by the efforts of four other members of the mock trial team: Jennifer Lewis, Lisa Sarran, Gina Scialabba and Elizabeth Thomson. The team was coached by Professor Bernie Segal and by adjunct instructors (and GGU alumni) Brian Soriano and Wendy Bemis
09/08/05 - School of Law Accepts Students Affected by Hurricane Katrina

Subject to classroom availability, Golden Gate University School of Law will admit qualified Loyola and Tulane 2Ls, 3Ls and LLM candidates as visitors during the current fall semester. Assuming that they are in good standing at their respective schools, they will not be charged tuition or fees for the fall semester.

The School of Law will also admit qualified 1Ls into our Mid Year Admit Program (MYA) that begins in the spring semester 2006. 1Ls qualified to be admitted into the MYA program will be required to pay tuition and fees to Golden Gate University.
