Undergraduate Certificate in Finance
Edward S. Ageno School of Business
Many business professionals recognize the importance of university coursework in finance, but have neither the time nor the need to complete the requirements for a traditional academic degree. For such students, certificate programs combinations of for-credit courses focusing on specific business areas are the ideal solution.
It is not necessary to be admitted to a degree program in order to complete a finance certificate, and the admission procedures for the certificate programs are streamlined and brief. Because certificate programs carry full academic credit, non-degree students may later apply these courses toward the satisfaction of degree requirements. Note also that students who have been admitted to degree programs may earn certificates in the process of meeting their degree requirements; a student pursuing an BBA with a concentration in finance, for example, could readily earn a certificate in financial planning as part of his/her degree studies.
Most of the courses available as part of certificate studies can be taken via the Internet, through Golden Gate University's innovative CyberCampus.
