Cirque Du GGU
Monday Mar 16, 2009
Last Thursday was a historic day for GGU as we celebrated the completion of our first ever comprehensive capital campaign.
Over 200 people attended the event, including Dan and Irene Riley, Anne Moller Caen and Dick Rosenberg. Some came from afar: Jimmy Wong from Hawaii, Fred White from Texas, and guests from the east coast.
We began with a champagne toast to the unveiling of our Centennial Wall and new plaques that display the names of those who have made truly significant gifts to the University.
The soiree continued over at the recently redone 40 Jesse Street building with a whimsical clown on stilts, a truly magical magician, a surprisingly accurate caricature artist, a talented jazz singer and even a fortune teller (we won't know for a while if she told the future ¿ but we'll keep you posted).
