Exam Information

Web-Enhanced & Mixed Mode Courses

Web-enhanced and mixed mode courses do not require a supervised (proctored) exam because they have online and in person class sessions, which satisfies the verification of identity requirement by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), Golden Gate University's accrediting body. Instructors may have exams or quizzes in the in-person class sessions and/or online using the university's e-Learning platform.

CyberCampus Courses

All Golden Gate University courses that are entirely online (no in-person class sessions) will have at least one supervised (proctored) exam per term. The supervised exam is either paper-based or Web-based. In addition, instructors may have exams, quizzes, projects and/or assignments online using the university's eLearning platform that are not supervised. Please check with your instructor.

Supervised exams can be taken at a GGU teaching location, a Consortium of College Testing Centers exam site or using an independent proctor approved by CyberCampus. Instructors will provide information regarding exam dates etc. Detailed information about how to arrange and schedule supervised exams can be found below in the Supervised Exam Resource Center:
