Leadership in Nonprofit Organizations is a five-course, ten-month online certificate program introducing the fundamental aspects of running a nonprofit organization, including governance, fund development, marketing and communications, volunteerism, program development, financial management, strategic planning, and legal issues.
Participants will advance through the sequence of courses together with a group of like-minded peers to explore personal leadership styles, values, and programmatic interests -- and build a plan of action to connect those characteristics to meaningful work.
In addition to the online courses, participants may attend an optional two-day, in-person intensive workshop in San Francisco during the final class of the program. A $400 completion grant will be awarded in the final course.
This program is designed for anyone who wants to become a better leader in a nonprofit organization, including paid staff, volunteers, board members, and those interested in starting a nonprofit.
