Golden Gate University's Braden School of Taxation offers merit scholarships and graduate tax class discounts to support students in their studies.

The braden Merit Scholarship

These scholarships will be granted in the amount of $20,000 (more than 75% of the cost of tuition) for new MS Taxation students who have demonstrated exceptional merit and potential for success in a rigorous academic environment.

BRADEN School of Taxation STUDENT Merit Award Scholarship

Current students in the Braden School of Taxation who maintain a high GPA will be invited to apply for merit scholarships that will cover the cost of one 3 unit course. Students will be invited by the Assistant Dean, and will compose a brief statement on why they are deserving of the merit award. Invitations are sent toward the end of each trimester.

Public Employees Tax Class Discount

Full-time employees of U.S. Federal, State, County or City governmental entities may receive a 40% discount on tuition costs for any tax course offered at GGU beginning summer 2013 (trimester begins May 1). Only courses with the prefix TA are eligible for the discount. Employment will be verified. Additional criteria: Satisfactory Academic Progress, discount is not applicable for repeating a course, and you may only apply one discount, grant or scholarship per semester.

Public Employees include Federal, State, County, City employees and Active Duty Military.
