Gregory Desierto

Gregory G. Desierto, PsyD works at a local community mental clinic and works in private practice. He completed his post-doctoral fellowship at Psychological Services Center in Oakland and his pre-doctoral internship at Access Institute for Psychological Services in San Francisco. He has strong interests in the intersection of psychoanalysis, multiculturalism, racism, immigration, poverty, trauma and social justice. Clinically, he has primarily enjoyed working with diverse individuals who have suffered being a victim of sexual abuse or sexual assault, had challenges with articulating their thoughts and feelings about their gender, sexuality, and sexual orientation; struggled with fitting in with their family members, school peers, and co-workers; experienced violent traumas, and dealt with chronic schizoid and avoidant states.
