Jeremy Welland serves as a Senior Manager in Pacific Gas and Electric Company’s (PG&E) Human Performance Improvement group and leads projects PG&E’s core and support lines of business. Dr. Welland earned his masters and doctoral degrees from the top-ranked Social Psychology program at the University of Michigan -- Ann Arbor, where he specialized in behavioral economics, judgment and decision-making, and statistics. He holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin --Madison.
Prior to PG&E, Dr. Welland worked as a director at the world’s largest human resources and management consulting firm, Towers Watson, in the organizational effectiveness practice, specializing in global employee research projects. Dr. Welland sits on the adjunct faculty staff at Golden Gate University where he teaches an Organizational Behavior course on learning, training and development, motivation, communication, group dynamics, Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement, problem solving, creativity, leadership, culture, judgment and decision-making, coaching, performance management, organizational design, and change management.
Dr. Welland and his wife live in San Francisco with their son and daughter. In his spare time, Dr. Welland serves on the Board of Directors of the downtown YMCA, plays the drums, and recently climbed Mount Shasta. Dr. Welland recently was awarded his company’s top volunteerism award for community service.
