Julie maintains a portfolio career as career consultant at GGU and an adjunct lecturer at GGU and San Francisco State University. In the Office of Career Planning at GGU, she consults with students who are wondering how to best utilize their GGU degrees in the workplace in addition to assisting students and alumni hone their job searching skills.

Prior to her current position, Julie was the Disability Services Coordinator at GGU. Before her time at GGU, Julie worked in the non-profit sector as a vocational rehabilitation counselor with adults who were considering various career options. Before exploring careers with others, she spent time trying on many careers herself, including: staffing manager in food service, catering manager, trek leader and tour guide, massage therapist, personal trainer, and athletic trainer.

Julie earned a master's degree in career counseling from San Francisco State University and a bachelor's degree in physical education with an athletic training emphasis. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in California and also a Nationally Certified Counselor.
