These hours are subject to change during semester break. Computer labs are closed during university designated holidays.
Media Requests
Golden Gate University provides the latest in audio/visual equipment for instructor use. Instructors may reserve audio/visual equipment by completing the online request form.
Computer Lab Policies
  1. Please show your current student ID and provide your information at the sign in Sheet folder.
  2. Please do not bring food or drink into the lab.
  3. CTS assistants are not tutors. We are not obligated to assist students with assignments.
  4. Please remember to copy your files saved on the hard drive. We are not responsible for loss of any documents.
  5. Silence is appreciated. Mobile phones should be on silent mode.
  6. If you leave the computers for more than 15 minutes, CTS assistants have the right to assign the computer to another user.
  7. CTS assistants have the right to refuse entry to any persons who do not adhere to the lab policies.
  8. Do not leave your belongings unattended. CTS assistants are not responsible for lost or stolen property
  9. Students are not allowed to install software on any computer.
Printing Policies
  1. Please do not manually feed the printer with paper.
  2. Only 2 copies of the same documents are allowed.
  3. Please print no more than 20 pages at a time.
  4. Instruction on how to print your PowerPoint files:
    a. Click "File" on the top left
    b. Select Print
    c. Find "Print What" and select Handouts
    d. For color/grayscale select "pure black and white"
  5. Files printed have to be less than 1 megabyte. Please check file size before printing.
  6. No printing from other devices not provided by the lab, such as laptops.
  7. No printing job allowed 15 minutes prior to the closing time.
  8. CTS assistants have the right to delete any file without notification.
Miscellaneous Information

We provide common software for student needs, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. We only allow students access to rooms other than 4218 if specific software pertaining to a course is needed. If you have any questions about software availability, please refer to a CTS assistant.

Scanners are available for use. These are devices used to scan pictures and imaged words to digital formats such as jpeg, bmp, OCR, and so on. Ask a CTS assistant if you have any questions on how to use the device.

Printing is always set on double side to save paper and trees. Instructions on how to print on one side is provided on the poster right next to the printers.

For equipment request (i.e. for class presentation) such as projectors, please ask your instructor to request it for you at least 2 days before. Equipments are assigned on first come first serve basis. Only instructors are able to check equipments out.

Headphones are available for use in the lab only. CTS assistants must hold the student's ID during equipment use. Students are responsible for lost or stolen items.

GGUOL Email account is a free email account provided for GGU students, with a capacity of 30 Megabytes. Students can get some benefits such as GGU news to follow university events, and posting information to sell or buy personal items. You can request a GGUOL account online. Please allow 3 business days for new account request processing.
