For decades, our Centers of Excellence have been giving students the opportunity to be part of and expand that legacy.
Center for Intellectual Property and Privacy Law
Our Center for Intellectual Property and Privacy Law (CIPPL) and expert faculty — many of whom are leading practitioners in the Bay Area — make up one of the largest and most robust IP and Privacy Law programs in the country. Students are connected to the wide-ranging network of esteemed GGU alumni and respected industry professionals, all while learning the latest in the fast-changing world of IP Law.
The Litigation Center
The Litigation Center provides students with a clear path to acquiring the skills necessary for successful legal careers. Our students are immersed in an innovative curriculum and develop into effective and persuasive advocates.
The Sompong Sucharitkul Center
The Sompong Sucharitkul Center for Advanced International Legal Studies at Golden Gate University School of Law brings together scholars and students from around the world interested in international legal studies.
The GGU Race, Gender, Sexuality, and Social Justice Law Journal
Begun in 2019, the student-run Golden Gate University Race, Gender, Sexuality, and Social Justice Law Journal serves as a platform for students from diverse backgrounds to be published in the legal field through rigorous legal scholarship. True to our mission, we strive for excellence, awareness, and acknowledgment of issues that affect Black, Brown, Indigenous, People of Color, LGBTQ+, GNC, feminist, and other marginalized communities.
I love the variety of opportunities available to support students who are interested in litigation, the small student body and how approachable and supportive the faculty are. I find GGU to be a very inclusive community.
GGU Law Journal
The GGU Law Review publishes two issues each year, one with scholarly legal writing on a variety of current legal topics and the other is an annual survey of significant cases decided in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Environmental Law Journal
ELJ is a student-run journal that publishes articles written by environmental law attorneys, practitioners, scholars, and students from around the world.
Intellectual Property Law Book Review
The IP Law Book Review is the only online, peer-reviewed and edited journal that includes reviews of current books written by leading scholars on IP law and policy.
Race, Gender, Sexuality, and Social Justice Law Journal
Current articles are publishes on the RGSSJ website. Individual articles are also available on GGU’s Digital Commons website.
