Michael Daw - Associate Dean and Director.
BA, History and Political Science, Valparaiso University; JD, Valparaiso University; MLIS, San Jose State University.

Michael is Associate Dean and Director of the Law Library. He specializes in International and Tax Legal Research. He joined the library staff at Golden Gate in 1994 and served as the Electronic Formats Librarian until 1999. Before coming to Golden Gate, Michael practiced law, primarily in the tax field and later as litigation support in a landlord-tenant firm. In addition to his library duties, Michael teaches a variety of research courses, including Tax Research (L.L.M. Tax), Graduate Legal Research (L.L.M., U.S. Legal Studies), eSearch (Advanced Legal Research - Online, in the J.D. program), and occasionally California Legal Research (J.D.). He also helps Maryanne Gerber introduce first year students to computer-assisted legal research during their hands-on Lexis, Westlaw, and Internet sessions each spring. He was appointed Co-Director of the Law Library in 2006 and hired as Director effective July 1, 2007.
Mohamed Nasralla - Assistant Director.
BS, International Relations, Chico State University; BA, History, Chico State University; JD, Golden Gate University School of Law; LLM in International Law, Golden Gate University School of Law.

After graduating from law school, Mohamed practiced in a mid-size litigation firm in San Francisco and did pro-bono work for the Immigrant Legal Resource Center in San Francisco. In 1989 he joined the law library staff where he supervises the operation of the Circulation Desk and answers reference questions. He maintains his immigration law practice and serves as a mentor to many Golden Gate law alums who go on to practice in that area. In addition, Mohamed grades practice bar exams for one of the commercial bar review courses and has been teaching GGU law students on exam-writing techniques and substantive law since 1990. He is also a member of the adjunct faculty of the law school. He was appointed Co-Director of the Law Library in 2006 and made Assistant Director July 1, 2007.
Hadi Amjadi - Systems Librarian.
BA, Computer Science, Chaminade University; MLIS, San Jose State University.

Hadi joined the staff of the Golden Gate University libraries in September 2004, after working for more than five years as an educational technology and computer support specialist at Santa Clara University School of Law. Prior to Santa Clara, he held the position of Systems Librarian at the Graduate Theological Union Library in Berkeley.
Siri Berdahl - Evening Services Librarian.
BA, International Studies and French, Allegheny College; MLIS, University of Pittsburgh.

Siri joined the Golden Gate University Law Library staff in the fall of 2007, having completed her MLIS in 2007 at the University of Pittsburgh. While pursuing her degree she interned at the reference desk of the university's main Hillman Library. She also worked at the Senator John Heinz Pittsburgh Regional History Center where she processed archival collections and prepared them for online access.
Marisa Diehl - Electronic Services Librarian.
BA, English literature, Oberlin College, Oberlin, OH; JD, Hastings College of the Law, San Francisco, CA; MLIS, San Jose State University, School of Library and Information Science.

Marisa joined the library staff in September of 2004. Before she became interested in the law, Marisa cataloged nineteenth and early twentieth century documents for the Huntington library including business journals, physics essays and piles of personal diaries. While in law school Marisa worked as a research assistant for Professors Kate Bloch (criminal law) and Roger Park (evidence) as well as for the Legal Writing Department itself.
Janet Fischer - Collection Development and Government Documents Librarian.
BA, History, College of Notre Dame, Belmont, CA; MLIS, San Jose State University, School of Library and Information Science.

Janet joined the Golden Gate University Law Library staff in June 2002. After receiving her MLIS in 1996, she worked as the Assistant Director at the San Mateo County Law Library until joining our staff. Prior to that, for approximately eleven years she worked in the insurance industry. Along with Collection Development, Government Documents and Reference Desk responsibilities, Janet also keeps the library's web page up to date.
Maryanne Gerber - Head of Electronic Services.
BFA in Studio Arts, Capital University; JD, Capital University.

After graduating from law school, Maryanne worked for West Group teaching Westlaw at law schools and in federal and state courts and government agencies. She left West Group to be a Strategic Alliance Manager for FindLaw.com. Since joining the staff at Golden Gate University School of Law, she has presented seminars for the Federal Administrative Office of the Courts, the American Association of Law Librarians, and local groups entitled Boot Camp for Teachers of Electronic Research. Currently, she is presenting sessions for the CALI organization and AALL on How to Create and Teach a Law Practice Technology Course. As the Electronic Services Librarian at Golden Gate, she coordinates and teaches the hands-on Westlaw, Lexis and Internet research classes for the first year students. As an adjunct faculty member, she teaches eSearch (Advanced Legal Research - Online) and Law Practice Technology. She also serves as Faculty Adviser for the Law Review.
Jennifer Tsai - Head of Technical Services.
BA, History, University of California, Berkeley; MLIS, San Jose State University.

Jennifer joined the library staff in July 2007. Before receiving her MLIS in 2005, she worked for several years at Hastings College of the Law Library. After graduating, she worked as the Catalog Librarian at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley. She is interested in rare books and materials and has attended the California Rare Book School.
