Ninth Circuit Survey is the only law review journal dedicated solely to addressing cases decided by the Ninth Circuit.
The decisions of the nation's largest and most widely criticized court of appeals regularly lend themselves to scholarly review and discussion. Whether holding that the terminally ill have a constitutional right to physician-assisted suicide or that the phrase "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance violates the First Amendment, the Court's opinions often garner national attention, rousing the ire of some citizens and the admiration of others.
The
Ninth Circuit Survey provides a forum for writers to analyze and evaluate significant cases decided by the Ninth Circuit during the year prior to publication. Each case in the Survey is examined with a Casenote that allows readers to quickly grasp important issues and also provides citations to more in-depth discussion.
So long as the Ninth Circuit survives attempts to split it into smaller circuits, look for opinions that continue to impact the legal, social, and political landscape of the western United States.
