Learning Support Services

Learning Support Services (formerly Tutoring Services) is now part of the new Center for Academic and Professional Success (CAPS). Within this new center, we strive to help students reach their highest potential by providing writing and math tutoring assistance to current GGU students.

In the new Student Services Center at 40 Jessie Street, we have an onsite "math" and "writing" lab. In addition, we provide online services which are accessible to GGU students anywhere in the world.

Our staff is comprised of experienced students and staff who have been trained to help you master difficult concepts, identify key ideas and prepare effectively for exams. For more information or to make an appointment, please contact us at the Center for Academic and Professional Success at 415-442-7299.

Writing and Communications Tutoring

Writing Lab
GGU's Writing Lab is a FREE student service provided by the Center for Academic and Professional Success Office and the English Department. Here, all students work one-on-one with experienced tutors who have master's degrees in English and education. Most tutors are also GGU instructors, so they understand what it takes for students to succeed in their class work and in their careers.

The OWL offers FREE online writing assistance to all GGU students. Undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students can submit work to the OWL, for any course, at any time, and they will receive a response from a professional tutor within 24-48 hours of sending it. OWL tutors are professional writers and educators who enjoy working with student writers. Please use the OWL submission form
