Erin Tittel

Master of Accountancy

Outstanding Graduate Honoree

Erin Tittel was born in central New Jersey. She attended Mercer County Community College and then Rutgers before finding her way to Goddard College in Vermont where she earned a Bachelor of Liberal Arts. Her academic advisor said that if Goddard had an award for excellence Erin would receive it. She is thrilled that Golden Gate University has such an award and is honored to receive the Master of Accountancy Outstanding Graduate Award. Erin became attracted to accounting after working in the nonprofit sector. At GGU she excelled in auditing and taxation, and was fascinated by the possibility that financial reporting can drive the sustainability movement to the next level.

She received a merit scholarship from the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board in 2011.

Erin is currently the Staff Accountant at the Community College of Vermont and the Finance Director at Cynthia Knauf Landscape Design.

She lives on a snowy hilltop in central Vermont with her husband and two children.

Erin would like to thank everyone at GGU for her success, especially Lisa Slater, Kevin Birtchnell, Wendell Hutchinson, Iana Zemniakova, Audrey Ching, Joel Segovia, and Shawn Thomas.
