Curtis Burr has been on the Golden Gate University board for ten years and the Chair for four years. In addition, Curtis held the title of Co-Chair of Basics of Accounting for Lawyers from 2006-2010. Curtis is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Valuation Analyst, Accredited in Business Valuation by the AICPA and Certified in Financial Forensics by the AICPA and holds a Certification in Distress Business Valuation from the Association of Insolvency Restructuring Advisors. Curtis has over 25 years of business valuation and litigation consulting experience. The industries he served include wine/vineyard industry, financial services, real estate, professional service firms, wholesale and retail, alternative energy and manufacturing. In addition, he has performed forensic investigations in connection with partner and partnership disputes, shareholder disputes, damage analysis involving breach of fiduciary duty claims in securities litigation; calculation of economic damages and last profits in cases involving misappropriation of trade secrets, product liability claims and wrongful termination cases. Curtis holds a B.A. in Accounting, an M.B.A. in Taxation and an Honorary Doctorate of Business Administration from Golden Gate University.
