Ferdinand Santos is currently Director of International Services at Burr Pilger Mayer, Inc. He began his international tax career at then Coopers & Lybrand, later at Ernst & Young, responsible for multinational corporate clients and high net worth individuals. He has over 23 years of international tax experience, including nine years with Big 4 firms, eight years in industry (including positions as Senior Tax Counsel for Vodafone Americas Holdings, Inc., and Director of International Tax at Oracle Corporation), and four years in private practice. Ferdinand has particular expertise in passive foreign investment companies, U.S. export incentives (such as IC-DISCs), structuring international joint ventures and cross-border agreements, U.S. foreign tax credit and Subpart F planning, FIN 48 U.S. international tax matters, and IRS audit defense and tax ruling applications. Ferdinand holds a B.S. in Business Management from Ateneo de Manila University, a J.D. from Santa Clara University and an M.B.A. in International Business from University of San Francisco.
