Jeannie grew up in the south bay and moved to the Seattle area while attending high school. In 1991, the opportunity to move back to the sunny bay area had arrived. She packed up her three daughters and settled in Concord. While pursuing a Bachelors' in Business Administration, an opportunity fell at her feet and she began her employment in education as a program coordinator. Overseeing the implementation of the Funds for Student Success and Carl D. Perkins Vocational-Technical Education Act grants, which provided support services for student success. Finishing her AA in Liberal Arts, she transferred to Golden Gate University (GGU) and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Human Relations in 2003. Her employment with GGU began in the fall of 2003 at the Walnut Creek teaching site. Over her tenure she has held several positions in admissions and advising. Her most recent position was the Walnut Creek teaching site manager and Graduate Student Services Advisor. With the recent closure of the site, Jeannie has moved to the San Francisco main campus where she continues to advise graduate students and is continuing her own education - Master of Arts in Applied Psychology - Counseling.
