John Herndon joined Golden Gate University as an Adjunct Professor in summer of 2012. He is also currently a Consultant of various clients in the Bay Area. He has over twenty years of accounting, finance and tax experience, specializing in areas of accounting such as SEC reporting, clinical trial accounting, 409(a) analysis, FAS 123r covering Market/ Performance/ Plain Vanilla options, IRC 482 (Transfer Pricing), cost accounting, mergers and goodwill, company valuation, venture capital acquisition, legal entity reviews, FAS 52 (ASC830), business combinations (ASC805), External Audit engagements, Internal Audit, ERP administration and report creation, and consolidations. Previously, John has taught classes at California State University East Bay. He is currently a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Financial Management Association, and the ASWA. John holds a B.S. in Accounting and a B.S. in Finance from California State University, Hayward and an M.B.A. in Accounting and an M.B.A. in International Business from Ellis University.
