Profiles: Karen McRobie
Director of Academic Integrity
Karen McRobie is the director of the university's Preparation in Language and University Studies (PLUS) Program as well as director for academic integrity and faculty development coordinator. She earned her M.S. in Linguistics at Cornell University and her Ed.D. in Education at the University of San Francisco. She has been a classroom teacher since 1979 and came to Golden Gate University in 1993 as director of the English Language Institute.
Karen has presented at international, state and regional conferences on various topics in teaching English as a Second Language, and has served as a textbook reviewer for both Prentice Hall and Oxford University Press.
In her capacity as director for academic integrity, Karen welcomes outreach by faculty who suspect or have identified violations of the university's Academic Integrity Policy.
