Jenae Sariñana was born in San Jose, California, where she graduated from Leland High School. She enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2009 as a Human Resource Specialist.

In 2010, Jenae deployed to Camp Liberty, Iraq, to support Operation New Dawn in the draw down of military forces. She managed day-to-day operations, including answering questions on policies and working with leaders and other departments; she was known as the "go to" person in HR matters.

Over the course of five and a half years, Jenae visited many duty stations, including Fort Jackson, Fort Riley, Fort Polk and Fort Lewis. Her final duty station was Presidio of Monterey, where she served as a Human Resource Supervisor supporting more than 2,300 soldiers in 6 operational departments.

Jenae recently transitioned out of the military and is now a full-time student at Golden Gate University working toward a Bachelor of Arts in Management with a Human Resource Management Concentration.
