ProGRAM Highlights
The graduate certificate in management of healthcare information systems prepares students as professionals with desirable skills in the field of management of information technology systems in diverse health care industries and environments. Coursework provides practical skills by giving students a thorough grounding in healthcare information systems, security and HIPPA-ICD-10. Students will also gain expertise in project management specific to healthcare environments, as well as healthcare governance and strategic planning in multicultural environments. Also included is coursework in healthcare technology systems, infrastructure and networking communication, developing and using resources, healthcare-specific project management, leadership and team building. These skills and many others provided by the program enable graduates to take management and leadership roles in healthcare environments.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
Either a minimum of three years full-time work experience in an IT Department, or a minimum of 30 undergraduate units in CIS courses, equivalent to an undergraduate certificate in CIS.
