Offerings
Students may earn a specialization certificate in intellectual property law by completing two 3-unit required courses, and 8 additional units in IP coursework.
Students can choose from a rich and varied group of intellectual property law courses in the areas of copyright, entertainment and sports law; Internet and high-technology law; patent and biotechnology law; and trademark and unfair competition law.
Intellectual property law is taught at GGU by full-time faculty members and experienced practitioners who specialize in IP law.
Annual IP Law Conference
Each year, the IP law program at Golden Gate University School of Law sponsors a conference addressing issues of interest and concern to the IP legal and business communities. Each conference features a unique mix of panels of educators and practitioners in the area of intellectual property law. Past conferences have focused on current IP issues; new developments in patent, trademark, and copyright law; and the regulation, valuation, and protection of content.
For graduates who wish to continue their intellectual property law studies, Golden Gate offers an LLM in intellectual property law.
