Environmental Law Symposium on November 13 to Focus on Farming and Food
The School of Law will hold a conference on Friday, November 13, titled "Farming and Food: How We Grow What We Eat," 9 am-4:30 pm, at the School of Law. Topics include Feedlot Runoff, Organic Certification, Irrigation Subsidies, Genetically Modified Crops, and the Mexico-U.S.Corn Trade. Presenters include attorneys from law firms and nongovernmental organizations and professors from several universities. Cosponsors include the Environmental Law Sections of the State Bar of California and the Bar Association of San Francisco and Fitzgerald, Abbott & Beardsley LLP. 4.5 hours of MCLE credit available.

LLM Program Report on Access to Parklands Available Online
Access to Parkland: Environmental Justice at East Bay Parks is the first comprehensive published analysis of access by low-income minority residents to the East Bay Regional Park District lands in the San Francisco Bay Area East Bay region. The report can be viewed online at

The LLM (Legum Magister - Master of Laws) in Environmental Law Program serves law graduates and attorneys from the US and abroad. The 24-unit LLM program can be completed in one to three years.
Unique features of the program include opportunities for mentoring and for participation in the Environmental Law and Justice Clinic, which provides free legal services and education about environmental justice issues to San Francisco Bay Area residents, community groups, and public-interest organizations.
