Where is Golden Gate University (GGU) School of Law located?
Our urban campus is located in the heart of new downtown San Francisco at the intersection of San Francisco's Financial District and South of Market Area (SOMA). MAP

This area is home to law firms, federal courts, and major corporations, as well as the Musuem of Modern Art (MOMA), the Museum of African Diaspora (MOAD), the Center for the Arts at Yerba Buena Gardens (YBCA), the South Park neighborhood, and the San Francisco Giants ballpark. GGU School of Law is located just one block of BART and MUNI transit (Montgomery Station) and the San Francisco Transbay Transit Center.
Does GGU School of Law offer housing for its students?
The University does not have residence halls; however, it is within easy commuting distance from most parts of the Bay Area. San Francisco's public transportation is excellent. Transportation systems to and from the surrounding East, South, and North Bay are very efficient as well. The housing situation in San Francisco is more expensive than many other cities in the US; but is not exorbitant. Allow up to three weeks to find suitable student housing.
If I don't live in San Francisco, where do I live?
You can increase your housing selection if you consider listings in the area near San Francisco - the East Bay (the Oakland-Berkeley area across the Bay Bridge from San Francisco), Marin County (Sausalito-Mill Valley-San Rafael area across the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco) or the area south of San Francisco (Daly City, South San Francisco)- as well as inside the city of San Francisco itself. Remember to include transportation expenses and utilities (gas/electricity, phone, cable, etc.) in your total monthly budget when searching for accommodations.

Most GGU School of Law students choose to live in various San Francisco neighborhoods or in surrounding communities, mostly in the East Bay cities of Berkeley and Oakland (easily accessible by BART, the Bay Area Rapid Transit system).
Where do I park when attending GGU School of Law?
Most students have no need to own a car (San Francisco has a very extensive public transit system, and GGU School of Law is located at its core). Students who drive to school can park at the USP Garage, corner of Shaw and Minna. For parking rates contact the USP Parking Manager.
