Does ExamSoft work on Macs?

Yes, ExamSoft is compatible with Windows PCs and Macs. For minimum system requirements, please visit www.examsoft.com/ggulaw.
I've just reached the end of the final exam period, and I'm planning computer repairs. Do I need to take any steps first?

Before performing drastic computer maintenance, please check with the exam coordinator at lawexam@ggu.edu to confirm that all of your answer files have been received.
I am trying to download ExamSoft but am having trouble logging in to www.examsoft.com/ggulaw. What should I do?

First, check that you're using the correct username and password. If you don't know your username and password, you can ask ExamSoft to send them to the email address that you have on file at GGU. Click the question mark next to the password field for instructions.

If entering the correct username and password doesn't solve the problem, contact the exam coordinator at lawexam@ggu.edu.
I have successfully installed and registered the software, but I cannot download an exam file. What should I do?

First, make sure that you have an internet connection. If you do, try disabling any personal firewalls that your computer might be running. A personal firewall such as McAfee Personal Firewall, Norton Personal Firewall, Zone Alarm, etc., can block the SofTest connection. If you prefer not to disable your firewall, try adding examsoft.com to your firewall's list of permitted sites.
My computer is lost, misbehaving, or in the shop. Can I download ExamSoft and install it on another laptop?

Yes. Go to www.examsoft.com/ggulaw and follow the Exam Takers link at the bottom of the page. If you've already downloaded exam files to the first computer, you'll need to contact the exam coordinator to request permission to re-download those files. Email lawexam@ggu.edu.
I just finished my exam, but I cannot upload an exam file.

Make sure you have an internet connection. Your wireless connection to GGU's wireless network may have expired; open a browser to see whether that's the case. If you've confirmed that you have an internet connection and your file still won't upload, contact a proctor.
Do I need to bring an Ethernet network cable on an exam day?

It's a good idea. Proctors will have a cable or two for student use, but if you plan to use a wired connection to upload your exam file, it's most convenient (though not strictly necessary) to have your own cable.
Will there be someone to help me if I experience technical problems?

Yes, we will provide what support we can on the exam day, but there is no guarantee that we'll be able to resolve your issue. If we cannot solve the problem by five minutes before the exam is scheduled to start, you will have to write your exam by hand. If you experience difficulties during an exam, you should hand-write the remainder of your exam. Assume that your entire typed answer will be saved and start where you left off. We will work to recover the exam file at the end of the exam.
What can I do to ensure that SofTest functions properly?

Running mock exams is a good idea. It's also a good idea to disable your anti-virus and anti-spyware services before beginning an exam. These services sometimes recognize SofTest as a malicious program and attempt to prevent it from launching. The majority of start-up issues are caused by anti-virus interference. For good, clear instructions for temporarily disabling these services, please visit ExamSoft support. Under "Before exam," see "What do I do if I am unable to start an exam because I am unable to write to the registry?"
