Adjunct Professor Caren Cambre has been a career prosecutor since 1989. Professor Cambre specializes in homicide prosecution, having practiced in the Homicide Unit of the Brooklyn, NY District Attorney Office and the Violent Offenders Unit of the New Orleans, LA District Attorney's Office. She is currently a consultant at the San Francisco District Attorney's Office where she is involved in training and reviewing cold case homicides to determine whether sufficient evidence can be found to prosecute.
Professor Cambre is licensed to practice law in New York, Louisiana and the District of Columbia as well as being admitted to practice in Federal Court. Prior to teaching at Golden Gate, Professor Cambre taught at Tulane University School of Law. Professor Cambre's extensive trial experience includes more than 200 jury trials including numerous death penalty cases.Professor Cambre holds a BS in Criminal Justice from Our Lady Of Holy Cross College and a JD from Tulane University School of Law.
