To introduce myself, I am Iana Zemniakova, your Cyber Professor for Accounting 301.C1. I was born in Russia and grew up in Germany and Belarus.I received my degree in Law from the Academy of Business Administration. After graduation, I passed Bar exam and worked as an attorney for several years until I moved to California. Accounting & Finance is my second career and I enjoy it very much. I took many accounting and tax classes from Foothill  College and SFSU to pass the CPA exam and then ended up taking the Master of Accountancy program at Golden Gate University. I also completed the Graduate Certificates in Corporate Finance and Operations and Supply Chain Management programs at GGU and now I am working on my MBA. I have been teaching at GGU for over 7 years and I enjoy it tremendously.

Classes I previously taught: ACCTG 1A Introductory Financial Accounting , ACCTG 50 Financial Accounting for Accounting Majors, ACCTG 100A Intermediate Accounting, ACCTG108 Federal Income Tax, ACCTG 200 Financial Accounting for Accounting Majors, ACCTG 201 Accounting for Managers, ACCTG 301A -Intermediate Accounting I, and FI314 Working Capital Management.

I reside and work in SF Bay Area (East Bay). I am currently employed as Chief Financial Officer at RGB Spectrum, a leading designer and manufacturer of cutting-edge video graphic products for audio-visual, industrial, medical, and military applications. I have over 20 years of experience; most recent includes VP of Finance, Senior Director of Finance, Corporate Controller, and Accounting Manager. I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor®. I am a member of CalCPA and served as CalCPA Committee Chair, QuickBooks Users Group for 2 years.
