When will the recipient receive my transcripts?
Your transcript will be mailed from our office within two weeks via first class mail.
What's the quickest way I can have my transcript sent?
We offer an Express Service in which, for an additional charge, transcripts are sent out the business day after we receive the request via overnight delivery (two day delivery to PO boxes or international addresses). Currently, it is not possible to request Express Service through GGU4YOU. If you wish to submit an Express Service request, please download our Transcript Request Form and fax it in.
Do I get a free transcript when I graduate?
All students who earn their degrees in our Summer '02 term or afterwords are automatically sent one copy of their transcript to their home (or preferred mailing) address. These transcripts are sent out within two months after the student's final term, and cannot be expedited. If you'd like your transcript sooner, you will need to submit a request and pay the fee. Students who earned their degrees prior to Summer '02 were not automatically sent their transcripts and needed to submit requests for them. Students that haven't submitted that request by now will be required to and pay the fee.
Can I specify that only my transcripts from my undergraduate (or graduate) work be sent? Or from only one degree program?
GGU will only issue transcripts in their entirety. All academic levels and degree programs will be included. The only exception to this is law school students who also enrolled in non law school programs at GGU. Those students may request that only their law school transcript be sent.
I want to be sure my transcript will have my DEGREE posted on it. How can I confirm this before I submit my request?
Please call the Records Office at (415) 442-7200 to inquire about the status of your degree before submitting your request. Alternatively, you can download our offline transcript request form, check the box "process after recording my degree" and fax it in.
I want to be sure that my transcript will have the grades from the CURRENT term on it. How can I confirm this?
Click to either the "View Grades" link on the GGU4YOU Students menu. If the grades appear there, they will also appear on your transcript. If they do not, please contact your instructor to ask whether he or she has recorded them.
I only want an unofficial transcript. How can I get one of those?
GGU does not issue unofficial transcripts. If you want a copy of your grades or degree progress, go to the "View Grade History" or "Evaluate Degree Programs" links. You can print out either of these by clicking the print icon on your Web browser.
How can I find out about the status of my transcript request?
Click on "Transcript Request Status" from the Student menu. This page lists transcript requests you have submitted. If there is a date in the Date Produced column, then that transcript has been printed and mailed.
How do I know to whom my transcript was sent?
When you submitted each transcript request, you entered the name of a person or organization in the Recipient box. If that name exactly matched the name of a person or organization on record at GGU, then it will appear in the Recipient column on this status page. If there was no match, the Recipient column will be blank and the name will appear in the Modifier column. This change is just for record-keeping purposes and does not prevent your transcript from being sent properly.

If you have questions about your request(s), please contact the Records office at ggu4you@ggu.edu or 415-442-7200.
I was told by the recipient of the transcript I requested that it never arrived. What do I do?
Call the Records Office at (415) 442-7200 or e-mail ggu4you@ggu.edu . Please tell us your name, the recipient's name and the date you requested your transcript. We will get back to you within one business day.
