Welcome to CAPS, the Center for Academic and Professional Success. We offer a student-focused approach to the delivery of academic support and career-management services. The purpose of CAPS is to provide students with a central point of access for academic support and professional development services offered by GGU, including tutoring and career advising.
Office of Career Planning
The Office of Career Planning strives to support the lifelong career management of students and alumni by providing services and resources to help align professional development and career goals.The Office of Career Planning offers career advising, seminars on a variety of career topics, and a virtual career center with on-line strategic career management tools including industry information, company databases, self assessment exercises and job/internship postings.For students interested in internships, the Office of Career Planning will work with you and your academic advisor to provide guidance and information on internship opportunities.Learning Support Services
The Math and Writing Labs are now located in the University Library, room 1331.English, writing and mathematics tutoring are available online or in-person to all current GGU students. In-person "math" and "writing" labs are now located in the University Library, room 1331. For students who are not able to come to the San Francisco campus, we provide online math and writing tutoring.

At the resource library students will find information about industries, emerging careers, professional advancement and leadership development.Books, periodicals and resources on career management and professional success can be found at on the 2nd floor of the Student Services Center at 40 Jessie Street in San Francisco.GGU LinkedIn Group

Wellness Resources supports you in creating effective tools to enhance academic success and to balance educational demands with other important areas of your life. We offer workshops to help you incorporate healthy lifestyle choices while you work toward your academic goals and personal counseling to help you navigate personal and life situations that are getting in your way of meeting those goals. The Alumni Association of Golden Gate University fosters mutually beneficial connections among alumni, students, faculty, administration and staff. The Alumni Association works with alumni relations and other university offices to develop programs and activities that support the GGU mission and serve the needs of Golden Gate alumni. University Library offers the tools and services you need to keep up-to-date with current events and trends in your chosen field. Contact a librarian today to find out how you can take advantage of these resources and improve your marketability. GGU's PLUS (Preparation in Language and University Studies) offers a full-time academic-preparation program each trimester in San Francisco as an incentive for non-native speakers of English. In addition, PLUS designs customized Directed Studies for non-native speakers of English who need additional language or academic support, usually in their first or second term of enrollment.
