"Thank you very much for your comments! They are helpful and I appreciate the chance to have another set of eyes on my paper. Take care!"
--Wendy Giblin doctoral Student
"I've taught finance and econ courses at GGU for over 20 years. To earn a living I also do litigation analysis and support on major cases, generally class actions. I often present written reports to the courts and obviously have an interest in clear, precise, "correct" writing. With the above as background, I must tell you how impressed I was with the clarity of OWL Tutor Marianna's observations on Jane's submission. Marianna's reply is exactly the type of writing I admire and serves as a standard to all."
--William Sarsfield GGU Professor of Finance and Economics
"Thanks for your help Gwen. Great Service."
--Farima Fakoor doctoral Student
"I just want to say, thank you so much! …and have a great weekend."
--Weerawan Sanguankulchai graduate student
"One thing that I have to say is that your assistance is very prompt. Your help really makes my life much easier."
--Puangrak student

SPRING 12 DATES: 1/5 - 4/25.
The OWL offers online writing assistance to all GGU students, via email: all undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students may submit work for ANY course at GGU to The OWL.
Submission Guidelines
-
Limit submissions to 750 words, maximum (about 3 pages, total).
-
Limit submissions to 2 within a 12-hour period.
-
Submit only .doc files (__not__ .docx or .txt files).
Submission Form
-
Use the Submission Form EACH time you submit a paper, or portion of a paper.
-
During GGU's migration to Web 2.0 in November, students may submit work directly to owltutors@ggu.edu, instead of using the Submission Form.
-
If you want your instructor to be notified, include your instructor's correct email address on the Submission Form.
-
If you do NOT want your instructor notified, write "n/a" in place of your instructor's email address.
-
Make sure your own email address is correct!
-
Identify ONE category for tutor feedback: grammar and mechanics; organization and development; or documentation.
INSTRUCTORS: If you do NOT want the OWL to cc you when we return your students' work, please notify us at owltutors@ggu.edu and direct your students to write "n/a" in place of your email address on the Submission Form.
Hours & Availability: OWL and Writing Lab
-
Submit your paper any time: The OWL is open around the clock, 24/7.
-
Email owltutors@ggu.edu if more than 24-48 hours have passed with no response from the OWL.
-
Only GGU students enrolled in GGU courses may submit work to The OWL or visit the Writing Lab.
-
Face-to-face tutoring is available at the Writing Lab, Mon-Thur, 3:30-7:30, in the library, Room 1331.
Feedback vs. Editing
- Tutors provide feedback and highlight specific problems in a student's work.
- It is a student's responsibility to incorporate the tutors' comments and feedback into his/her own writing.
- Tutors do not "correct" errors or edit papers.
