Food sorters support the heart of the operations by ensuring that donated food is sorted, cleaned, packed and shelved. This way the food is ready for member agencies when they visit the Food Bank to select nutritious food for the people they assist.

Fellow students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends attended a major-league baseball game and pre-game party at the McAfee Coliseum in Oakland, which featured a barbecue meal, frosty refreshments and fireworks, and watched the Oakland Athletics play the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.
