2011 International Education Week

Hosted by the International Admissions and Advising, University Library, Student Government (SGA) and Student Clubs, Office of Student Affairs, and Preparation in Language and University Studies (PLUS)

International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.

Golden Gate University joins in the "joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education is part of our efforts to promote programs that prepare Americans for a global environment and attract future leaders from abroad to study, learn, and exchange experiences in the United States." (IEW website)

Check out some of last year's highlights:
    • We hosted a performance by Abada Capoeira, a Brazilian martial art group.
    • SGA hosted movie night.
    • There were several chances to win free prizes by entering the IEW raffle.
    • Last but not least, the highlight of the week, the Cultural & Club Fair was hosted by the SGA and Student Clubs. There were samples of foods from around the world and live music.
