Liberal Studies Core

The liberal studies core consists of an array of courses in seven areas. As a whole, the liberal studies core provides students with a broad understanding of fundamental areas of knowledge and the methods of inquiry and research appropriate to each of them.

Each of the seven areas introduces students to a field of knowledge and the ways that professionals in the field study and utilize that knowledge. Every liberal studies core course aims at illuminating contemporary issues and real life experience.

Liberal Studies Core areas include arts, history, humanities, literature, philosophy, science and social sciences.
