Services for Faculty: The TEACH Act |
|
The Technology, Education, And Copyright Harmonization Act was passed by congress and signed into law in 2002. This act gave governmental and nonprofit educational institutions much greater power to distribute educational materials electronically to students enrolled in classes. For GGU faculty this means they have a great deal more power and flexibility in using materials online. For the University Library this means we have more freedom in providing electronic reserve service for your classes. The University also has it's own policy document on using copyrighted materials for educational purposes. Information on the TEACH Act Libraries have been more active in creating documents on the implications and requirements of the act than other institutions. The following documents are a few which may be of use to you.
