| INTRODUCTION | | |

| Company Information : Before research on a company can be done, there are some key questions that must be answered. |
1) Is the company publicly or privately held? Publicly held companies are required to submit certain documents and forms to the Securities and Exchange Commission (i.e. Form 10-K). privately held companies are not required to disclose financial or operational information. For the most part, it is much more difficult to find information on private company than a public one.

2) How old is the company? A company's age can determine the amount of data and information available for research and comparison. Obviously, newer start -ups have much less data to compare.

3) Is the company a domestic or international company? Obviously, it is easier to research domestic companies than international companies.

| Valueline Investment Research | Provides investment analysis, research and advice on 1,700 stocks and 90 industries. Research for options, exchange-traded funds and mutual funds. Simply enter your ticker symbol in the far right hand box and click "Go." |
| Morningstar | Although the specialty of Morningstar is mutual funds, they have an excellent stock/company analysis for many larger companies. There is analyst opinion on over 1000 different stocks. |
| Corptech Directory | CorpTech Directory provides information on over 95,000 technology companies. Search by company name, industry, geography, company size, industry executives, products, and more. |
| Faulkner Technology | Provides comprehensive reports covering computer system software, networking, telecom technologies, trends, vendor profiles, product solutions, and security management practices. |

| COMPANY WEBSITES | Oftentimes, the company website will contain links to latest news stories or other details. The information can be sanitized, but you can get a good overview of what company wants you to think. |
| International Directory of Company Histories | This reference series contains overviews of many of the larger Companies of the United States. It is an excellent starting point for researching company history or tracing changes over a company's life. REF HD 2721.I58 |
