INTRODUCTION

University Library has a great collection of resources for ITM students, including a variety of books, journals, and full-text databases. Databases are excellent resources for finding articles from academic journals, newspapers, trade journals, and popular magazines. Reference books, such as subject-specific dictionaries and encyclopedias, are especially helpful for getting acquainted with an unfamiliar topic. Of course, you can always find books in the library's stacks that deal more thoroughly with a topic by using our online catalog called GOLDPAC. Encyclopedia of Information Science and Technology Call# TK5105 .E566 2005 Location: Reference	Topics included in this 5 volume encyclopedia range from the managerial (e.g. Enterprise Resource Planning and Integration) to the highly technical (e.g. Object-Oriented Software Metrics). The entries are authoritative and include a complete list of references for further research.
Dictionary of Information Science and Technology ebrary, 2006	Over 700 pages of clear, concise, and informative definitions. Entries are arranged alphabetically and provide current and authoritative information, which makes it a great alternative to wikipedia.org.

BOOKS
GOLDPAC	You can find what books are in the University Library or available online by searching the library catalog (GOLDPAC). Some subjects to use when searching for ITM materials are: information technology management, web services, virtual computer systems, business intelligence, strategic planning, information technology -- case studies, and database design.
Ebrary	Ebrary is the library's database of electronic books. You can search for case studies, overviews of topics, and new books on many ITM related topics. To view the book in Ebrary, you need to download the Ebrary Reader from the link on the first page of the database. Ebrary books are searchable full text by keyword, but you can also use the advanced search to search by title, subject, and more.
