NEW RESOURCES for PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS
The University Library is excited to share one of our new resources, Counseling and Therapy in Video. Including over 400 hours of video covering the subjects of psychology, psychotherapy, psychiatric counseling, and social work, this resource can be searched by theme and video type. Another wonderful aspect of this resource is that all sessions have searchable transcripts.This online collection of videos can be viewed anytime, anywhere. Just go to our database page and look under C for Counseling and Therapy in Video. After clicking the link you will need to enter your valid student id number and name to access the resource.Did you know that there are now new rules for citing electronic resources with APA? (See article below.) Take a look at the Psychology LibGuide. NEW APA CITATION GUIDES at the UNIVERSITY LIBRARY
Most GGU classes require you to use the APA (American Psychological Association) style to format your citations. There are a lot of rules to follow, and the APA recently published new guidelines for electronic resources. Find out about library resources and services that can help you research most effectively and save you time and money.A few minutes invested now will get you off to a great start and spare you hours of stress throughout the term. - identify your research needs
- develop search strategies
- search full text of over 34,000 e-books
- choose the databases most relevant for your research
- tailor your searches to pull what you want from those databases
- establish methods to help you analyze and synthesize the resources you find, to create your own well thought-out, well documented, creative research
- cite resources appropriately

Join Us for Fish! Learn How to Have Fun at Work and Provide Quality Service
Please join the University Library staff for free screenings of Fish!. Fish! examines the amazingly positive and playful work environment at Pike's Place Market in Seattle, and provides tips for quality service while having fun at work.We will show it repeatedly, so come when you can! There will be free soda and, of course, Pepperidge Farm Goldfish. You are welcome to bring your lunch.

You can spend hours wading through all the information and disinformation, or you can spend an hour with us and learn how to cut to the chase.Our research professionals will help you learn how to search so you can
- identify the resources that will help you find the overviews of industry trends and external factors affecting that industry
- develop an understanding of the major companies in that industry, how they have evolved and where they are going
- access and compare relevant financial data and ratios for publicly-traded companies in the industry
- evaluate, analyze and synthesize that data
- so you can create your academic and career success

Some good places to find investment, operating conditions and taxation information for individual countries are the large accounting/auditing/consultancy companies, such as PricewaterhouseCoopers or Deloitte.Deloitte's site:
http://www.deloitte.com/view/en_KW/kw/insights/international-tax-business-guides/index.htm allows one to choose your desired country via a pull-down menu.Over 110 countries/jurisdictions are represented, although the length and size of the guides can vary from a 3-page highlights guide to a 28-page publication. The longer guides will typically cover investment climate, business and regulatory environment, foreign investment, choice of business entity, corporate and individual taxation and employment law.
