We know that this is not an easy time for anyone. We recognize that the current situation may have caused unanticipated financial challenges for our students. We are thinking about all of you and how we can help you through this time. GGU has multiple, but limited, financial resources available to students during this trying time.
GGU, through funding from the federal government and institutional resources, has established a COVID-19 Emergency Grant fund to support unexpected costs due to the extraordinary circumstances of the global COVID-19 outbreak. Emergency grants in the amount of $500 are available to students in good academic standing enrolled at GGU for the term the application is being submitted. Funding is limited, and only one application per student will be considered, however GGU is committed to assist as many students as possible but some requests may be denied.
To apply for the COVID-19 Emergency Grant, if you haven’t already received one, fill out the application here. (Use your myGGU login to access the form.)
Applicants will receive a response within two weeks of submitting the request. Applications submitted prior to the last day of the term will be funded within two weeks of approval. Applications received after the end of a term and before the fourth week of the subsequent term will be funded during the fifth week of the subsequent term. Funds will be provided via direct deposit. Please ensure your banking information is up-to-date in your myGGU portal.
GGU is offering an extended payment plan for those students who need it. For more information, email: sas@ggu.edu.
If you already receive Federal Aid, you will continue to remain eligible to receive funding to assist with your tuition, fees, books, and living/housing expenses as long as you are enrolled at least half time for the summer term.
If you currently do not receive Federal Aid, grants and/or loans are available to US Citizens or eligible permanent residents to assist students with their tuition, books and living/housing expenses, regardless of their income. The application process is easy and can be completed online.
