Undergraduate Admissions

Finish Your Degree

Since 1901, nonprofit Golden Gate University (GGU) has helped working adults achieve their academic goals and advance their careers. Flexible evening and weekend classes and online programs cater to busy schedules, helping returning students fit higher education into their lives. In addition to the business core, the bachelor's degree programs include a comprehensive General Education program that will focus on writing and communication skills, critical thinking, quantitative skills, and the breadth of a liberal arts education with a business viewpoint.

Instructors Who Teach What They Do

GGU’s undergraduate programs are designed and taught by instructors who also practice in some of the Bay Area’s largest and most successful organizations. By bringing the latest techniques from the field to the classroom, they teach skills that can be applied immediately to the real world.

An Efficient Path to Completion

In addition to an outstanding educational experience, faculty and staff provide the personalized services needed for success. Golden Gate University recognizes the value of prior education and work background by helping students leverage their experience toward a degree. From admission to graduation, we support every step of the academic journey.

The Associate of Arts (AA) degree is a first step toward academic and career success. Eligible students who earn their AA degree at GGU are guaranteed admission to a GGU bachelor’s degree.

Gateway to Success is an introductory course that provides students with a road map for academic and career excellence. Based on executive coaching principles, this course helps students create a Professional Success Plan and a step-by-step Path to Completion that guides them from admission to graduation.

A Prior Learning Assessment helps returning students get academic credit for their knowledge and experience — whether it was in the military, a business, or a nonprofit.
