Belan Wagner has been an Adjunct Professor at Golden Gate University since 1976 and
is currently the Managing Partner of Wagner Kirkman Blaine Klomparens & Youmans LLP.
Belan is head of the taxation and transactional department and he provides expert
legal services in Tax Planning and Controversy Resolution, Business Planning and Controversy
Resolution, Real Estate, Estate Planning, Probate and Asset Protection, Tax Exempt
Organizations, Health Law, Deferred Compensation and ERISA Compliance. Belan is also
a Certified Specialist in Taxation Law. Belan has over 35 years of in- depth experience
in business, taxation, real estate, estate planning and controversy work. He has acted
as a defense witness in legal/accounting malpractice cases as well as an expert in
real estate, tax, and trust/probate cases. Belan is a member of the Sacramento County
and American Bar Association, Society of California Accountants, Comstock Club, Sacramento
Board of Realtors, International Association of Financial Planners and Pacific Law
Journal. He is also the Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee on Taxation and member
of Probate, Business and Tax Section for the State Bar of California. Belan graduated
magna cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology from University of California, Santa Barbara
and holds a J.D. from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and an LL.M.
in Taxation from University of Miami.
