Professor Erin Fraser is an attorney at Hanson Bridgett LLP in San Francisco. He advises individuals, businesses, non-profit organizations, and government agencies on a broad range of tax planning and tax controversy matters. Professor Fraser’s work on federal tax matters ranges from income tax controversies involving individuals and businesses, to partnership structuring and corporate mergers and acquisitions, to estate and gift tax planning. He regularly works with entrepreneurs and start-up companies, and has been quoted repeatedly in national media on issues related to IRC section 199A. Over the course of his career, Professor Fraser also worked in the London office of an American law firm and domestically at one of the Big Four accounting firms.
Professor Fraser is licensed to practice law in the States of California, New York, and Wisconsin (inactive). He is a member of the Taxation Section of the California Lawyers Association and regularly participates in the activities of several Taxation Section standing committees.
