Hamid Shomali

Dr. Hamid Shomali has had many years of experience in banking and finance, teaching and academic administration. Hamid joined Golden Gate University in 1986 from Bank of America. He had been an executive in an overseas bank prior to his service at Bank of America. Hamid has taught economics and finance in many US and foreign universities including University of California at Berkeley and University of Houston. In the last eight years Hamid served at Golden Gate university first as Dean of School of Finance and Economics and then as the Dean of School of Business. Hamid holds a BS in mathematics from University of Salford in England and a Ph.D. in economics from UCLA.
