Heinz “Jörg” Schwarz is an active IT professional with over 20 years of practical
experience in IT Architecture and industry vertical solution development for Government,
Retail, Education, Technical Computing, and Healthcare IT. As an award winning Adjunct
Professor, Professor Schwarz teaches at Golden Gate University since 2009.
Prof. Schwarz is currently Director for Global Business Development at AGFA Healthcare
(with offices in the global HQ in Antwerp and in El Dorado Hills), where he leads
new product development for Integrated Care, including clinical Analytics and Image
Analytics. Previously, Professor Schwarz worked at GE Healthcare and Sun Microsystems,
where he architected and implemented Health IT solutions for eHealth, Health Information
Exchanges (HIE), Picture Archiving (PACS), Revenue Cycle Management (SAP R3), thin-client
access (Desktop Virtualization), MDM/EMPI and Identity Management (IDM), and Scientific
Computing Infrastructure for customers around the world.
With graduate degrees in Business Administration and Information Systems earned in
Germany and California, Prof. Schwarz completed post-graduate coursework in Information
Systems and designed and taught at GGU ITM345, ITM340, and ITM351.
