Homer Johnstone, Distinguished Adjunct Professor, is an exemplary faculty member in
the project and operations management disciplines in the Golden Gate University (GGU)
Ageno School of Business. Homer has been teaching at GGU in the graduate and doctoral
programs for more than 18 years. He has been recognized by the university by being
awarded the prestigious Stanley Price Professorship.
Some lesser known facts are that Homer is a Brigadier General in the Army Corps of
Engineers, with extensive construction experience, both while serving and after leaving
the Army. He is a Ranger and Master Parachutist, with more than 100 jumps. He holds
20 Air Medals, several Bronze Stars, two Legion of Merit Medals and the Distinguished
Service Medal. He has published in the area of quality in Army Corps of Engineers
projects.
