Prof. Mona has worked in the Energy Industry for over thirty years. She is currently
retired from Chevron Corporation’s Human Resources department where she was the project
manager for various core and enabling areas which include projects in development
and implementation stages. In addition, managed the Corporate Human Resources annual
business planning cycle and formal business plan as well as being responsibility for
the functional Human Resources business planning process. Her last assignment at Chevron
included working on project plans, global deployment and communication plans, Company-wide
training including developing Computer Based Training (CBT) as well as helping Corporate
Human Resources be compliant in this specialized and complicated area.
In previous positions throughout various operating companies within Chevron, she was
responsible for business plans, strategic updates, operational forecasts, Web/Application
development and IT planning and support for both corporate departments and operating
companies.
Mona's doctoral dissertation research and manuscript analyzed models in practice on
decision-making while assessing technology. Consideration was taken to discover manager’s
decision-making models used when valuing technology to be brought into the firm. Two
years of literature research and baseline research lead her to completion of doctoral
degree. Decision-making while assessing technology is a topic that she is committed
to and believes needs further expansion in the technology management field. She continues
to pursue studies in this area.
She is a strong believer in KNOWLEDGE and its application in the business world and
consider's herself a student for life.
