Randy J. Churchill, CPA is a Director in the National Tax Group at Moss Adams LLP in Seattle.  He has practiced in public practice or in private industry for 38 years.  His practice at Moss Adams focuses on methods of accounting, IRS examinations, mergers & acquisitions, and tax planning for financial institutions and final service companies.  His teaching at Golden Gate University began in 1989.

In his current role, he works with the firm’s national director of Accounting Methods to consult with and review all offices’ advance consent method change requests to be filed.  He also works as a firm-level QC reviewer for automatic method change requests to be filed by the firm’s tax professionals and performs QC reviews for the firm’s SEC financial institution clients.

From May 1981 to November 1989, he worked for Touche Ross & Co. (merged with Deloitte in December 1989) as a Tax Senior Manager in Seattle.  From 1989 to 2006, he worked as Tax Director and as group Tax Manager for one of the 10 largest banks in the country, managing tax compliance, controversy, and planning for the growth of the Bank from $6 Billion in assets in 1989 to over $300 billion in less than 10 years.

He has been in his current position with Moss Adams for the last 11 years.
