Professor Richard G. Carson has completed Bachelor of Science Degree – Business Administration with Accounting Emphasis, in 1975, from California State University – East Bay. He has also completed post graduate course work at various national Business Schools. He is licensed as a CPA in several states for many years. He retired in June 2009 after 35 years of service in public accounting with focus on global and specialized financial statement/ control assurance and advisory services with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. Throughout his tenure, Professor Carson has been actively involved in recruiting, mentoring and professional training programs. He has been frequent lecturer on Professionalism and Ethics since 2009.
Professor Carson has also served as the Academic Director of Professional Mentoring Programs, Braden Schools of Taxation and Accounting, 2012-2015.
Currently, he is serving as an Adjunct Professor for the Golden Gate University School of Accounting. He has developed and taught courses for Golden Gate University online and in the classroom, since 2012. He is also on the Board of Trustees of the Education Foundation, CSU-East Bay, in various roles, including roles on the Audit Oversight and Nominating Committees and teaching courses in other professional organizations.
